Apple has pushed back the shipping estimates of its newly launched iPhone 5 pre-orders, within an hour of adding it to its online store.

As per the information published on the Apple’s website, it was said that the iPhone 5 will be released on September 21st in the retail stores as well as can be purchased online and the pre-orders can be made from September 14. When the iPhone 5 page went live in the online store, pre-orders blazed off the stock and the phones were sold out 20 times faster compared to iPhone 4 and 4S.

With such overwhelming demand, Apple has been compelled to push back the shipping time of online pre-orders for the three models of 16GB, the 32GB and the 64GB from one to two weeks and then to three to four weeks.

As TechCrunch evaluates, it took 22 hours for the iPhone 4S and about 20 hours for the iPhone 4 to sell out of its pre-order, launch-day stock, but iPhone 5 only took an hour to experience such whitewash!

There have always been plenty of hubbubs around Apple product launches as well as about the fascinating iPhone apps, but no technological wonder or mind-wobbling innovation can justify the reason for the launch day stock being sold out within an hour of its release. No doubt that massive number of people is willing to buy iPhone 5 but such unfathomable craze for the device is a clear indication of arrival of something Big!
