Responsive design has been hailed as the buzzing trend in web designing industry. Given the fact that the desktop usages will be overshadowed by mobile web browsing, the need for creating websites that work well on the mobile platforms including tablets, notebooks and Smartphones has become the dire need of the day.

One of the biggest advantages of responsive web design is the fact that it can save a hell lot of time. But then, responsive web design can also pose certain complexities which the business owners need to realize.

As a matter of fact, the entire time saving concept through Responsive web design is often a myth. In reality, responsive web design simply helps you design your site once and then it will automatically detect the visitor’s screen orientation and size and adjust the layout accordingly, so as to fit that screen. However, most of the designers often commit the mistake of implementing the “design once” tactic wherein the images and texts expand or shrinks to fit the respective screens.

It should be noted that contrary to the desktop counterparts, the tablets and the Smartphones have unique user-interface requirements and the Responsive web design not only takes size of the device’s screen into account but most importantly, consider how users would interact on each platform. For instance,Responsive web design will replace the clicks for navigation with simple swipes, or would take into consideration the amount of content that the users would like to read from their mobile devices.

Responsive web design does require an adept planning for modifying the information hierarchy and the page layout. Your web designer should consider the user experience and create an UX document for each mobile channel to inspect the flow of content and accordingly streamline its delivery in the mobile interface.

When you plan the RWD project rightly, you can save a considerable amount of time. Your designer will not have to create new content for every single platform and instead, they just need to alter the amount and the layout of the visual content. For the coders, they don’t have to design, program or deploy stand-alone codes for each of the channels.

Responsive web design also offers seamless analytic integration by setting a single code on the back end. If you do not opt for the RWD, then, you would need to code separately for different channels and devote extra effort to keep the analytics uniform across all environments. It should be remembered that website design is all about the end result and there are more than one component that define the success of the web designing projects.

Responsive web design has represented a significant transformation in the ways the sites are designed for the mobile web. It goes without saying that responsive web design offers an integrated and ultimate experience that any business would want and any user would love.
